March 2010 ~ 1 Month Flying Star Forecast
Flying star feng shui is an advance technique that requires close analysis and understanding of core feng shui principles. The flying stars are represented by the numbers 1-9 as they move in a sequential order around the Lo Shu grid. According to ancient Chinese classics, a giant tortoise found in the River Luo showed a mathematical pattern of numbers that corresponded exactly to the Magic Square adding up to 15. The number 15 having significance representing the number of days in a Chinese season, number of degrees in anyone of the 24 mountains on the Lo Pan compass, and 15 degrees of longitude traversed by the sun in 1 hour. Movement of light in terms of space and time tells us how matter is subject to change.
For a proper analysis, a flying star chart must represent the energy of the space that is determined by the year the structure was built and the facing direction (1st, 2nd or 3rd ) mountain of that portent. Then and only then can a proper analysis begin. To evaluate how time impacts this inherent energy the element of the current year and month enter the equation. This is when a qualified consultant can begin the evaluation and inform the client of what to expect for the year and each month.
2010 is a 8 year (for more information see:http://5elementdesigns.com/blog/category/feng-shui-news/) and scroll down to “2010 ~ 8 Year Flying Star Forecast.”
March 2010: The month of March began on 6th and ends on April 4th (meaning cures are placed on the 6th and removed on the 4th of April). The star for March is the 1 White Star. This star in an 8 period age (2004-2024) is timely and represents excellent energy for study and research and by extension to obtain fame and fortune.
4 Dark Green Star: Untimely in this current age (8). Falls in the Northeast of the lo shu and can represent affairs and family break-up. Abate with fire. Other stars within the palace (age, mountain, water & annual stars) will dictate exactly what can occur and other potential cures.
5 Sha Star: This star falls in the South sector this month. Depending on the Age star and other stars within the gua will determine exactly what you can expect. This star represents illness and overall problems. The south sector represents the cardiovascular system and small intestines. By in large a metal sound helps to dissipate this sha energy.
6 White Star: Falls to the North this month. This star is usable in an 8 period due to the relationship between the earlier and later ba-gua systems. Inherently, this star has long lasting energy in most of the 9 ages and base point on the loshu granting white star status. Timely can represent authority, wealth & power. This star is being drained by the portent so assistance of metal is helpful. Depending on the age star for this portent & the remaining stars in the gua will determine overall proper cures.
7 Red Destructive Star: This star falls to the Southwest portent for this month and receiving energy from the portent direction. Untimely energy for this current age and can represent robbery, fire, trouble with the law or tragedy. The impact is greatest to the matriarch. If you have an outside door in this portent make sure the lock works well. Draining this energy is best with virtual water (meaning not actual water) as you do not want to agitate this star. Again, other stars in the portent will determine exactly what is going on and best approach for cures.
8 White Star: This high energy star (current age) falls to the East this month. Its energy is extremely high as it matches the current age.The portent is causing it to lose energy. This is the money star for this month representing steady growth of wealth. Place your income materials here for the month and support the energy with fire as it will help to restore its energy; however, the other stars within the palace must be assessed for proper stimulation.
9 Purple Star: Auspicious in the current age and found in the Southeast this month. It’s presence indicates success and promotion in your career that results in income. Wood feeds this element for the month and is found in the palace of Southeast. Depending on the other stars in the palace will determine exactly what to expect and other potential cures.
1 White Star: Great energy in this current age and white star status. Falling in the center portent makes this a great area for studying this month and gaining wealth. The 1 energy is agreeable to metal and water elements for support and assistance. Again, being mindful of the host star and other star energies (year, mountain and water) can pinpoint the best remedies.
2 Black Star: This sha energy falls to the Northwest this month. In this current age the 2 star represents sickness impacting the patriarch and head area. Metal (bronze) is the best cure with a metal sound being highly penetrating. The portent does offer metal energy for depletion but depending on other stars in the palace will determine the outcome.
3 Green Star: Usable in an 8 period but must be watched for windfalls. This energy falls within in the West and great for starting a new business and potential wealth. Virtual water offers support to the otherwise cutting energy of the portent.. Watch for windfalls will need fire to abate. Other indicators are the remaining stars within the palace.
Flying Star is a complex system that shouldn’t be taken lightly. This newsletter report only provides the month energy. For a full analysis other information is needed, as your home will have its own separate energy that can interact differently with these monthly stars. It is highly recommended for a competent flying star consultant to assess your energy personally.

2010 ~ 8 Year Flying Star Forecast
Flying Star Feng Shui or Xuan Kong Fei Xing reflects the energy that impacts our homes and offices every day. The dynamic is based on the fact that the Universe is in a constant state of flux. This can be seen in the seasons and time of day. Understanding the basics of energy waxing and waning is the key factor behind an analysis. Obviously energy that is waxing is vibrant and as a result life seems to flow unimpeded. On the other hand, energy that is waning and decayed can create obstacles and health challenges.
In traditional flying star methods, using form school principles to support and activate vibrant qi and quiet problematic qi is the key behind accurate remedies. Using form is the most powerful way to work with energy, as we note this in nature. Understanding 5 element theory and its phases of support, reduction and controlling measures allows us to find the right element to place in the proper form school position (water or mountain) for either activation (sheng qi) or closing down (sha qi).
The flying star technique is specific to the year the structure was built. In other words, the earth energy for that particular time period is encapsulated into the structure. Depending on the facing and sitting direction of the building will determine a specific energy map or flying star chart. February of 2004 we entered into a period 8 (Gen trigram) and will remain in this period 8 cycle for 20 years or until 2024. Specific stars bode well in this period and others do not. The key then is to know what stars are problematic and how to abate them with proper form school modalities.
2010 is an 8 year and begins on February 4th according to the solar calendar. This year star must go to the center of the lo shu grid whereby the remaining numbers (stars) are placed in a sequential order.
The 8 trigram (gen) represents a mountain-like energy, the youngest son, the body parts of the shoulders, hands and fingers. The direction is Northeast and the element is earth. The nature of Gen is resting, halting, accomplishments, inner stillness and reserve. The areas of research, development and long term investment come to mind. The energy is very stable for Gen and receptive like a mighty mountain. Take the time to get to know yourself with this Gen energy and regenerate your mind and spirit.
Flying Star Energy 2010 in Directions:
Note: The information below is generalized. Every structure will formulate a specific chart compiling many other facets of energy.
1 White Star: Great energy in this current age and white star status. Falling in the West portent makes this a great area for studying this year and gaining wealth. The 1 energy is agreeable to metal and water elements for support and assistance. The portent then is automatically providing support. Additional cures may be necessary depending on the age, mountain and water star present in this sector.
2 Black Star: This sha energy falls to the Northeast this Year. In this current age the 2 star represents sickness with the most vulnerable areas being the shoulders and hands (NE) activated. Metal is the best cure with a metal sound being highly penetrating. Depending on other stars in the palace will determine the outcome and other potential areas of illness.. Also to note, because this is a Tiger year (2010) the Grand Duke (Jupiter) aligns to this portent specifically the NE3rd mountain. It becomes extremely important to avoid disturbance here by way of reconstruction, digging, or renovation work, as ill effects are magnified including loss of money and illness.
3 Green Star: Usable in an 8 period but must be watched for windfalls. This energy falls within in the South portent and great for starting a new business and potential wealth. The portent drains this energy. You may add wood for assistance, but if windfalls, then remove the wood and just allow the fire portent to keep this energy in check. Other indicators are the remaining stars within the palace that can create a combination of energy.
4 Dark Green Star: Untimely in this current age (8). Falls in the North portent of the lo shu and can represent affairs and family break-up. Abate with fire. Other stars within the palace (age, mountain & water stars) will dictate exactly what can occur and other potential cures. Note: the portent is feeding this 4 energy and promoting potential ill effects of this untimely star.
5 Sha Star: This star falls in the Southwest sector this year. Depending on the Age star and other stars within the central square will determine exactly what you can expect and potential additional cures. This star represents illness and overall problems that can impact the matriarch of the family (SW portent). Health issues may be seen in the intestinal area. By in large, a metal sound helps to dissipate this sha energy.
6 White Star: Falls to the East this year. This star is usable in an 8 period due to the relationship between the earlier and later ba-gua systems. Inherently, this star has long lasting energy in most of the 9 ages and base point on the loshu granting white star status. Timely can represent authority, wealth & power – impacting the eldest male (portent found). This star is in a ke cycle with the portent; therefore add fire and earth to bridge the elements and support this good star. However, depending on the age star (according to your home period) for this portent & the remaining stars (mountain and water) in the gua will determine overall cure (s).
7 Red Destructive Star: This star falls to the Southeast portent for this year and in a ke cycle with the portent direction. Untimely energy for this current age and can represent robbery, fire, trouble with the law or tragedy. If you have an outside door in this portent make sure the lock works well. Draining this energy is best with virtual water (meaning not actual water) as you do not want to agitate this star. Again, other stars in the portent (mountain, water & age) will determine exactly what is going on and best approach.
8 White Star: This high energy star (current age) falls to the Center this year. Its energy is extremely high as it matches the current age. It also is receiving assistance by the portent. This is the money star for this year representing steady growth of wealth. Place your income materials here and support the energy with fire. Moving water will stimulate money. However, as continually being mentioned, there are other stars within this palace that must be taken into consideration for impact.
9 Purple Star: Auspicious in the current age and found in the Northwest portent this year. It’s presence indicates success and promotion in your career. The metal portent causes this beneficial star to lose qi. Adding water and wood would bridge the cycle while feeding the 9 star. Depending on the other stars in the palace will determine exactly what to expect and other potential cures.
Flying Star is a complex system that shouldn’t be taken lightly. This newsletter report only provides a basic analysis of the year 2010 star only. For a full analysis other information is needed, as your home will have its own separate energy that can interact differently with the annual star. ~ Feng Shui ~ Respecting Nature, Your Space & You
Feng Shui finds its place in nature, a sort of acupuncture of your space in the larger macrocosm or Universe. Knowing that every atom in the Universe plays a role in the outcome of all things, then what we chose to place in our space essentially defines who we are and the level of respect we have to all things, animate and inanimate. Essentially, how you treat your space is in effect how you treat yourself. When you respect yourself, and for that matter all things, life takes on a whole new energy. It begins to bloom all around you.
Feng Shui takes an important role when it comes to honoring nature and a space. Its very essence is to abide by the laws of nature, the ebb and flow of all things bringing with it a sense of beauty, harmony, balance and joy. This is the highest level of respect we can show a space and as a result the space will reciprocate and provide nourishment for the physical, emotional and spiritual body.
By infusing feng shui principles into a space we show respect to the objects, materials and foundations of the space. We begin the process of improving the space on every level, things will last longer and function better. When we care for a space in this way we begin to kick it up a notch in caring for each other and ourselves. We feel we have in a small way (microcosm), left the world (macrocosm) a better place then we found it. This is especially true when we prepare a home for a sale. When we choose to refresh the paint on walls, clean floors and windows or simply rearrange furnishing, we are in essence leaving the space better than how we found it so the next person can make an easy transition. Isn’t it a wonderful feeling to have someone clean up for you. It’s like a warm fuzzy, a great feeling all over. This simple gesture shows respect and respect begets a smoother life.
In yoga, we have a phrase Namaste – ” the divinity within me salutes the divinity within you.” This is a powerful word that defines the highest respect for another. When we treat inanimate objects with respect (our space) in essence we are acknowledging the perfection in all things. Feng shui is that acknowledgement to all things and begins the process of bringing more light and joy into your life.
There are some simple things you can do in your space to start the ball rolling for smoother sailing. Below are a few feng shui tips:
1. Let the sunshine in. Pull back the drapes, open the blinds and let nature’s pure light radiate into your space.
2. Less is more. Remove unnecessary objects, furnishings or simply things that no longer serve a purpose in your life. Have a garage sale or donate it to your favorite charity.
3. Bring in nature in the form of real plants, flowers, seashells, stones or pine cones. Feel the divine essence they imbue. The perfect geometry in these objects is Sacred and will immediately calm your surroundings.
4. Respect Gaia (Earth) and shop locally for natural furnishings and organic foods and materials.
5. Bring the essence of sound into your space with soothing music or water feature. Why not feel as though you are strolling along the shoreline listening to your favorite tunes.
6. Make your bathrooms feel like you just stepped into a spa. Fluffy towels, essential oils, natural soaps and cozy plants. Grace your body with a refreshing feeling of nature while you cleanse.
7. Position your bed on a secure wall that gives you a clear view of the door entrance. Ensconce your body with lavish bedding, natural materials and soft lighting. The idea is to rest in this space, not work.
8. Infuse your kitchen with healthy images and foods. This is a place to nourish the physical body that of course houses your spirit. Don’t compromise here.
These are a few ways to show respect to your space and allow the space to respect you in return. Watch life bloom all around you and begin living a smoother life.

Bringing Balance to the Tiger Year
The Yang Metal Tiger year tends to bring some chaotic energy for all. When this energy is combined with the frenetic pace that we all tend to keep, yin energy is essential for balance to ensue.
This year calls for a balance to our life by taking the time to practice yoga. This age-old practice has numerous benefits for our physical body along with the capacity to calm our mind. If you are a practicing yogi, then make 2010 a year to step up your practice to the next level. If you are a virgin to this practice, then make this year a time to introduce this meditative movement as a part of your daily routine. Trust me, once you begin this practice you will never let it go.
Aim High ~ Yoga Purusharthas -The Purpose of the Soul:
The Yoga Purusharthas or the 4 aims of life include duty or ethics, prosperity or wealth, pleasure and liberation. These qualities are the blueprint for a life of fulfillment. Yoga practice helps us to move toward the true self. With each posture we challenge the self and peel back the layers of the physical realm or the koshas until we find that the layer that defines who we really are.
The Purusharthas are what we all desire in life and are actually available to us all. It is an actual alignment of the microcosm with the macrocosm. The Universe lays it all out for us. Our only job is to get with the program.
To begin the process of fulfilling the 4 aims we all strive for in life, take 30 minutes a day and practice a few yoga postures. Run a few sun salutations and then come to a quiet moment. Spend this quiet time to reflect, journal and breathe. Think about what it is you are doing in your life to come closer to achieving the 4 aims. You might want to outline each aim separately and evaluate each day or week exactly where you have placed your efforts. Have you placed too much emphasis on one aim and as a result the others have suffered? By evaluating these 4 basic life principles you can evaluate how your life’s priorities are constantly shifting.
Yoga is one of life’s great tools we can utilize for recognizing meaning, and the purusharthas let you see whether you are living a good life. Make 2010 the year you step up your practice or simply create one. Balance is what we all need.

Haiti ~ Yin Meets Yang
Yin and yang are 2 interdependent polarities that drive the forces of the Universe. Each polarity is dependent upon the other in order to exist and maintain a state of equilibrium. The poles are in a constant state of flux to create life. If one polarity moves to take over this delicate balance the results can be disastrous. Eventually, nature will correct itself and re-create balance, but this could take much time and effort.
Haiti is the poorest country in the West Hemisphere. The land is mostly mountainous, eroded and treeless; essentially a non-fertile environment. Without question Haiti is a country that moved too far into the yin polarity. The earthquake Haiti experienced was a violent shift in polarities as an attempt to re-balance the over- weighted yin polarity. As a result of this earthquake, the world woke up and responded – (yang energy). The amount of food, supplies and other resources that were donated and continue to stream in is amazing. However, even with all these supplies many people have yet to receive even the most basic human needs. Why is this? From a polarity shift perspective, the swing from ultimate yin to ultimate yang was too quick and too severe. It will take time for these polarities to right themselves and for the Haitian people to be at peace and prosper.
What can we do as a people? In addition to supplies or monetary donations, Haiti needs a sense of peaceful energy. We can do this by taking 3 minutes out of our day and send Haiti and its’ people healing energy. This will effectively move the poles of yin and yang into a harmony.
Below is a copy of a letter sent to me from MercyCorps. a foundation I donate to for the cause in Haiti. I’m sure you will find this letter to be the first signs of balance returning ~ Haiti…Under the same Beautiful Stars.

Dear Mary Jane,
Yesterday, I heard one of the most beautiful and most heartbreaking things of my life. It’s something I’ll always carry with me — and perhaps the one phrase I’ll attach to my time in Haiti. And I wanted to share it with you because you’ve made our work in Haiti possible.
I was at Port-au-Prince’s main hospital again, checking on how the food we’d delivered was being cooked and taken to patients. I accompanied some volunteers down the pathways of the sprawling hospital complex, past one fallen building and a couple that have been closed off because of earthquake damage, to a set of tents that are temporary home to injured and recovering children. As the volunteers passed out the meals to grateful families, I took time to talk to a few parents.
One of them was 36-year-old Claricia Basaent, mother of two injured children, including 11-year-old Nadine. Nadine sustained internal injuries as their house collapsed around them in the midst of the earthquake, which led to an emergency appendectomy here at the hospital.
It was only the second time since the earthquake that Nadine has had a hot lunch — the first was the day before, when the hospital kitchen started making meals from Mercy Corps-donated supplies. Before this, she subsisted on whatever was brought in by small organizations and volunteer doctors: mostly crackers and other small sustenance.
I asked Claricia where she slept at night. (She can’t stay at the hospital after visiting hours end.) And her smile stunned me almost as much as her answer did.
“Sous les belles étoiles,” she said. Under the beautiful stars.
I smiled back, shook her hand and told her we’d keep doing everything we could to help. As I walked away to talk with more families, I kept imagining the place where Claricia drifts off to sleep. Perhaps I’d even been through her neighborhood.
But, mostly, I thought about those beautiful stars and how all of us are beneath them. I don’t think I’ll ever look at the night sky in quite the same way.

2010 ~ Yang Metal Tiger Year
2010~ Yang Metal Tiger
Solar Calendar
February 4th
In Chinese culture the Tiger is a symbol of power, force and strength. It is considered the king of all animals as the pattern of stripes on their forehead resembles the symbol for the word “King” in Chinese. It is the third animal on the 12 wheel zodiac taking the position of Northeast and winter season.
There are 5 types of Tiger years (Metal, Water, Wood, Fire & Earth). 2010 is a Metal Tiger year. The Tiger naturally is a wood element quality, so this year being yang metal in the stem creates a clash of energies with the wood quality of the Tiger. If we think about the qualities of wood; (growth, upward moving, new beginnings, visionary, proactive in projects, high activity levels, goal achievers), and the qualities of metal; (focused, passionate, gathering, contracting inward, honest and methodical), these energies stifle each other. Because of this direct assault, we may find the year of 2010, at least the first half of the year, to be more about cutting back adventurous plans that the Tiger energy thrives on, and being more conservative. The sense of rules being set by the metal energy will not hold up very well, as the Tiger can be rather rebellious and impulsive.
In the past Tiger years were rather tumultuous, so we can expect the same in 2010. The Tiger’s volatile and impetuous nature will have a tendency to create a hectic and chaotic pace for all. The key will be to tread slowly and become like the Tiger in the forest slowly searching for his prey before exposing himself fully. Since the Tiger’s wood energy naturally gravitates towards starting new projects, it is likely to see this happen. Just be cautious, tread slowly and stay focused as the Tiger’s hasty attitude can cause any new project to fizzle out.
The Tiger is also one about stirring up change, so 2010 is likely to be a year about exactly that on every level, especially since the metal stem is in conflict with the Tiger’s wood element. This conflict tears down the old and makes room for the new, so it will be a transforming year. The Tiger’s strength, courage and fortitude will help to keep us on path.
Health: In terms of potential health infractions, the element of metal deals with the lungs, colon and skin and large intestines. The Wood energy of the Tiger directly impacts the liver, gallbladder and nervous system. In general we can be all be a little more susceptible to conditions in these areas. Taking measures to eat healthy, get plenty of rest and exercise creates a natural line of defense against illness. Depending on how your personal 4 Pillars chart interacts with the year pillar (2010), other areas of your body could be more susceptible.
Professional Industry: 2010 may be a difficult year for those with careers in the wood industries ( writing, paper, wood products, fashion, furniture), as the metal stem of the year cuts into this energy. On the other hand, industries that deal in precious metals, engineering, cars, entertainment and computer industry will bode better.
World Conflict: The conflict between these elements (metal and wood) also indicates a conflict with other countries, political upheaval and military intervention. More than ever political leaders need to remain calm and level-headed.
~The aforementioned description is a generalized energy for the year of 2010. Each person will also have a personal energy interaction with the year and can be specifically analyzed through a 4 Pillars Chart based on Year, Month, Day and Hour born. Assessing the combination of your personal chart to the pillar of 2010 (Yang Metal Tiger) determines specific information for you.

Be In-Spirit 2010
As we begin the last year of the first decade of this millennium, take time to to reflect and refresh yourself. Below are 8 simple solutions that will inspire you and help you see things differently.
1. Take a few minutes daily to meditate. Find a state of quietude to center your mind, body and spirit. Your day will flow with a sense of grace.
2. Live intentionally. Wake up each morning and take advantage of opportunities that are presented to you. Opportunities are more recognizable when you write a list of what you want to accomplish.
3. Take chances and trust yourself. Step outside your comfort zone and have faith you can do anything.
4. Have a plan…Be specific…Visualize what it is and become it.
5. Do one thing everyday towards accomplishing your goal.
6. Focus on one goal at a time and incorporate the power of feng shui to move the energy in that direction. For example, if 2010 is the year to make a career move, then place a water feature in the North portent of your office, a metal globe, computer or phone in the Northwest, a fire element in the South portent along with an image of your soul’s purpose or your passion as a career, and some stones or mountain-like image in the Northeast to call upon your inner knowledge.
7. Incorporate some form of exercise into your achedule at least three times a week. Yoga is a wonderful form of exercise that will also awaken your higher self and keep you on the right path.
8. Be mindful of Mother Earth (Gaia). Think Green in all that you do. You’ll not only feel physically better but will be happy you are doing your part to save the planet.
For extra guidance in 2010 why not purchase a personal 4 pillars reading comparing your natal chart to the year 2010 and your current 10 year luck pillar ($99). This is a great way to know exactly what you can expect and where your potential lies.

~ 4 Pillars Astrology~ What Elin Woods Could Have Known About Tiger
If you’re living on this planet then you know all about Tiger and his many Paramours. Let’s see exactly what Tiger’s 4 Pillars chart points out and how Elin’s chart contributed to his indiscretions.
Tiger Woods was born on December 30, 1975 at 21:50
He is a yang metal person making him aggressive and powerful. In his current 10 year luck pillar branch, (what he is currently experiencing at the age of 34) is the Metal Rooster. This provides a much needed root for his day-master or self-element. This root makes him self-assured and steady allowing his career to progress. This root also brings about some friends, but others who are challenging for him right now. We definitely have seen some challenging individuals recently enter his life. Because this root (Metal Rooster) makes him stronger, he is able to acquire wealth, represented by the stem (yin wood) in his current 10 year luck pillar and his year pillar of the Rabbit. We most certainly have seen the excessive amount of money Tiger has made over the last several years.
The wood element in his chart represents his wealth, but also his romance. Since his output represents the element of water, (or how he communicates on every level), and water feeds wood, then it is apparent that Tiger has a way of sweet talking the ladies in his life.
Tiger also has 2 Flower of Romances in his chart indicating possible affairs. These flower of romances fall in his day pillar (represents his self and his marriage) and the year pillar (representing society). His current 10 year luck also brings in the flower of romance with the Rooster. Again, at the age of 34 he is really experiencing this energy in the luck pillar. Furthermore, since the pillars of marriage and society are impacted it’s clear how this all came to be public knowledge right now.
Tiger also has a great deal of water in his chart (Rat & Pig) that is draining for him. Interestingly enough his accident occurred in November, a Pig month and on a Rat day making so much water in his chart that it had a very draining impact on his self-element leaving him vulnerable.
The Rabbit (year pillar) and Dog (marriage or day pillar) combine forming a 6 combination creating the element of fire (representing power in his chart). The type of power created is aggressive impacting the two areas we see aggravated in his life – marriage and public awareness. This is a stressful type of pressure for Tiger, as he will feel he has to break some rules or control others to get what he wants.
Tiger also has an empty branch of Rat. The karmic lesson here for him is to stop controlling others. It is very obvious that Tiger is used to controlling others, especially women with his money.
Tiger also has a great deal of wood in his chart (representing money and romance for him). It is apparent he is not short of either. As a weak metal chart, wood further weakens him. Therefore, too much money and too many women (both represented by the element of wood in his chart) will get the best of him mentally and physically. If we look at his current 10 year luck pillar, the heavenly stem brings in additional wood energy representing more women and money. Sound like a familiar theme…Furthermore, in his wife’s chart, her current 10 year luck pillar branch of Rabbit (that she is currently experiencing) brings even more wood energy, and being his wife he is exposed to this energy.
Finally, as previously mentioned, Tiger’s romance element is wood. His wife Elin’s is a water self-element (not wood) and actually a draining element for him. In addition, Tiger’s marriage pillar shows that marriage is bad but his spouse may be kind-hearted and loving, but there is adverse pressure when it comes to finances. I’m sure Tiger will have to pay Elin a generous amount of money in this divorce settlement.
Elin’s Chart: Born January 1, 1980 unknown time.
Elin’s marriage branch animal of the Rooster clashes with Tigers marriage pillar of the Dog causing a magnification of his Flower of Romance or extra-marital affairs. In addition, Elin’s chart also shows Flower of Romance in her marriage pillar and being impacted by this clash with Tiger’s, she becomes the victim or potential of affairs occurring in her marriage.
If we examine how the time element impacted Elin, her current 10 year luck pillar brings in aggressive power in the heavenly stem. This is the type of power is agrumentative, controlling and forceful to get what you need. It creates a great deal of stress for the individual. Furthermore, 2009 (Ox year) represented aggressive power for Elin as well both in her stem and branch position. This means the entire year was very stressful for Elin. She must have felt she had to constantly push for what she needed. The Ox year (2009) also clashed with her year pillar of the Sheep. This pillar also represents the public. Therefore, the energy of this pillar for her was magnified and once again in her stem and branch we see aggressive power and the public being aware of this. This is a ton of stress that the element of time had on Elin’s chart. Interestingly enough, the day of Tiger’s car accident was a water day and water month giving Elin great assistance for her self-element making her very strong to confront Tiger. Through it all we have heard the new reports point out how strong Elin is. This shows in her day pillar, as her branch of the Metal Rooster supports her day stem or element of water. Metal creates water in 5 element theory.
In 2010 Elin’s chart indicates she will gain a great deal of money that she can invest. She will have power to help others and gain their support. She will also gain powerful expression leading to wisdom and wealth.

December 2009 Flying Star Analysis
Flying Star Feng Shui or Xuan Kong Fei Xing reflects the energy that impacts our homes and offices every day. The dynamic is based on the fact that the Universe is in a constant state of flux. This can be seen in the seasons and time of day. Understanding the basics of energy waxing and waning is the key factor behind an analysis. Obviously energy that is waxing is vibrant and as a result life seems to flow unimpeded. On the other hand, energy that is waning and decayed can create obstacles and health challenges.
2009 is a 9 year (for more information see:http://5elementdesigns.com/blog/category/feng-shui-news/) and scroll down to “Time and Space Feng Shui- Annual Forecast.”
December 2009: The month of December begins on 7th and ends on January 5th (meaning cures are placed on the 7th and removed on the 5th of January). The star for December is the 4 Dark Green Star. This star in an 8 period age (2004-2024) is untimely and represents affairs and family break-up.
4 Dark Green Star: Untimely in this current age (8). Falls in the center of the lo shu and can represent affairs and family break-up. Abate with fire. Other stars within the palace (age, mountain & water stars) will dictate exactly what can occur and other potential cures. Note: the annual 9 fire star resides in this gua and provides fire to abate the 4 star.
5 Sha Star: This star falls in the Northwest sector this month. Depending on the Age star and other stars within the central square will determine exactly what you can expect. This star represents illness and overall problems. By in large a metal sound helps to dissipate this sha energy.
6 White Star: Falls to the West this month. This star is usable in an 8 period due to the relationship between the earlier and later ba-gua systems. Inherently, this star has long lasting energy in most of the 9 ages and base point on the loshu granting white star status. Timely can represent authority, wealth & power – impacting the youngest female. This star is receiving assistance from portent. Depending on the age star for this portent & the remaining stars in the gua will determine proper enhancement.
7 Red Destructive Star: This star falls to the Northeast portent for this month and receiving energy from the portent direction. Untimely energy for this current age and can represent robbery, fire, trouble with the law or tragedy. The impact is greatest to the youngest son. If yo have an outside door in this portent make sure the lock works well. Draining this energy is best with virtual water (meaning not actual water) as you do not want to agitate this star. Again, other stars in the portent will determine exactly what is going on and best approach.
8 White Star: This high energy star (current age) falls to the South this month. Its energy is extremely high as it matches the current age. It also is receiving support by the portent. This is the money star for this month representing steady growth of wealth. Place your income materials here for the month and support the energy with fire. Moving water will stimulate money. However, as continually being mentioned, there are other stars within this palace that must be taken into consideration for impact.
9 Purple Star: Auspicious in the current age and found in the North this month. It’s presence indicates success and promotion in your career. Wood feeds this element for the month. Depending on the other stars in the palace will determine exactly what to expect and other potential cures.
1 White Star: Great energy in this current age and white star status. Falling in the Southwest portent makes this a great area for studying this month and gaining wealth. The 1 energy is agreeable to metal and water elements for support and assistance. Again, being mindful of the host star and other star energies can pinpoint the best remedies.
2 Black Star: This sha energy falls to the East this month. In this current age the 2 star represents sickness impacting the eldest son, feet, liver in this gua. Metal is the best cure with a metal sound being highly penetrating. Depending on other stars in the palace will determine the outcome.
3 Green Star: Usable in an 8 period but must be watched for windfalls. This energy falls within in the Southeast and great for starting a new business and potential wealth. Impact is greatest for eldest daughter. Virtual water or wood supports and assists.

9 Star Ki Astrology ~ December 2009
9 Star Ki ~2009 ~ December
Your personal energy has 3 types of qi. The first one (natal number) has the greatest impact and comes from the most timely star. This makes ups 60% of your personality. The second type of energy is known as the emotional or childhood number and represents the relationship you have with friends and family (future timely star). The final 20% of your qi comes from your tendency number (past timely star). This is how you are viewed in the outside world.
Calculating Your natal Number: This is based on the solar Calendar (start Feb 4-5). Using theosophical reduction (adding all your birth year numbers together and subtract this number by 11. If the number is greater than 10 reduce to a single digit and then subtract by 11.
Example: 1968 = 1+9+6+8 = 24 (24 is greater than 10) = 2+4 = 6 and 11 – 6 = 5 The natal number is 5.
