~elements of life

The five elements in Feng Shui relate to specific energy patterns that interact with each other in different ways. Finding the correct proportion between these elements is very specific and requires a professional analysis. Each element corresponds to specific attributes and compass direction. Working with the influences of nature along with the occupant's personal energy determines the element(s) that are needed within the space to enhance health, peace, abundance and many other attributes for successful living.

WoodWood Element

The wood element represents an activating force filled with growth and potential. This element catapults new ideas and can motivate you to try new things. Like the rising sun filled with potential, the wood element is upward and energetic. Some examples of the wood element include: plants, flowers, columnar shapes, landscape scenes, stripe patterns, wood furniture and green colors.

FireFire Element

The fire element is the most powerful element in Feng Shui and represents expansion and transformation. Representing the ultimate yang quality, it allows you to open up and seek your soul's mission to share with the world. Some examples of the fire element include: candles, bright lights, sunsets, star, diamond or pyramid shapes, people or animal images, leather; fireplaces and fire color hues.

EarthEarth Element

The Earth element represents your support and stability in life. This energy has a rotational movement holding things into place. This type of energy reminds us that we live in the physical world and symbolizes a nurturing environment for things to grow. Some examples of earth elements include: stones, terra cotta, brick, granite, low flat surfaces, square and rectangular shapes, check patterns and earth tone colors.

MetalMetal Element

Metal energy represents our mental power, our communication and bright ideas. It has the qualities of creative joyfulness and strong leadership qualities. Locating the proper directional portent for this element can boost potential income dramatically. Some examples of metal elements include: round, oval or arch shapes, metal colors or white, and metal objects.

WaterWater Element

The water element in feng shui is considered very auspicious and relates to money and abundance in your life. Placing this element in the proper money portents within the home can enhance your wealth. Some exmples of water elements include: wavy or irregular shapes, flowing designs, sand, fish, seashells, water scenes, water fountain, glass, mirror and blue or balck colors.
