Natural Science Feng Shui Certification

This gold level member school is named after one of the most important icons in feng shui; the tortoise. The tortoise represents the main supportive feature in land form school feng shui. The tenacity and resoluteness of this creature symbolizes the patience that is necessary in obtaining our goals in life. The tortoise shell plate represents the dome of heaven with its square under body representing earth. The 24 plates represent the 24 qi seasons and 24 mountain ring on the Chinese Lo pan compass; the most powerful ring in feng shui calculations. Ancient Chinese legend states Yu the Great witnessed a giant tortoise emerge from the river lo after the flood waters receded. On the back of this tortoise was a mathematical configuration. This configuration is said to contain the secrets of the Universe. The combinations create the 9 numbers of the lo shu grid that contains the dynamics of the earth’s axis, precession of the equinoxes, human DNA components, and other amazing phenomena. The lo shu grid configuration represents the later heavenly ba-gua template used most frequently in feng shui practice.

The Teaching Tortoise School of Feng Shui takes the student on a journey through time to learn the natural scientific approach to study nature, the backbone to feng shui. Understanding where qi comes from and how qi particles interact with all matter is a powerful concept that should be thoroughly understood when assessing indoor and outdoor environments. Learning about the cosmos, direction, land topography, earth’s energetic lines, and how the combination of these energies impact man, is the vital link to understanding this ancient discipline.

At the Teaching Tortoise School of Feng Shui the student will enjoy a one-on-one learning process. Each module is designed in professional power-point programs with powerful visuals to aid in the learning process. Students will have the opportunity to assess their own spaces and compare findings with their fellow classmates. The student will progress to perform residential and business consultations during the educational journey.

This school honors the ancient practice of feng shui, a science based on the laws of nature and literally means life sustaining, as derived by the two elements (wind and water) for which it represents.

The Teaching Tortoise School offers intermediate and advance level certifications. The intermediate level certification is also available as a long distance training CD program with full support by Master teacher and director Mary Jane Kasliner. The Teaching Tortoise School of Feng Shui invites world-renown feng shui experts as guest speakers on various topics including 4 Pillars Astrology and Ergonomic Feng Shui Corporate Designs. The school also offers complimentary studies with workshops on Reiki, Health Counseling, and more.

Mary Jane Kasliner is the director and instructor for the Teaching Tortoise School of Feng Shui. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science from Skidmore College and an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences. Her studies also include a Certification from the D’Amicis School of Western Feng Shui, Flying Star compass School methods from the New York School of Feng Shui under the direction of world- renowned master Roger Green, Certification in Advance Theories of Four Pillars Eastern Astrology with the New York School of Feng Shui under the tutelage of Yasha Jampolsky, a Certificate in Western Astrology 101 & 102 from CCA School of Astrology in Oregon, Certification in Key Concepts of True Feng Shui, Business Feng Shui, Earth Acupuncture, Dowsing, 9 Star Ki, 4 Pillars, Flying Star, & I Ching from the Feng Shui Institute in London under the direction of Alan Stirling. Mary Jane’s studies also include dowsing and earth alignment where she has corresponded with David Cowan from England along with the Feng Shui Institute in London. Mary Jane is also trained in space clearing ceremonies, the art of Qi gong and Nationally certified in Hatha Yoga.

Mary Jane brings her in depth training and knowledge to Teaching Tortoise School of Feng Shui where she uses a combination of power point visuals and hands-on methods to teach Classical and Form school feng shui, as well as space clearing and earth energy work. Students will have the opportunity to apply these theories to their personal floor plans and will progress to perform professional consultations.
